Delaney is originally from Santa Clarita, CA where she played Varsity all four years at Canyon High School. Delaney went on to play Division I basketball at Seattle University as a stretch 4 and center. She contributed to her team’s success in 2018 when they won the WAC conference tournament and qualified to the NCAA tournament where they played in the first round against Sabrina Ionesco and the Oregon Ducks. She graduated in 2019 with her bachelors in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies in the school of Arts and Sciences. She played her last year of eligibility at Sonoma State University as a graduate student while pursuing her Masters in Education. In 2023, she was hired on as an assistant coach at UC Santa Cruz for the Women’s Basketball program and specialized in developing post players, game planning, and organizing team travel.
